My passion is to help you understand the Bible and your place in it. The greatest joy in my life is knowing Jesus Christ, and the power He brings to heal and change broken people.
I am a husband, father, pastor, and teacher. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and Religion from Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina. I hold Masters of Divinity and Theology degrees from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. I am currently a Ph.D. student in homiletics at The London School of Theology, and a doctoral fellow in The A.J. Gordon Guild at Gordon-Conwell. I teach preaching at Gordon Conwell’s Charlotte campus.
I have served on the pastoral staffs of five congregations. I am a member of the National Association of Evangelicals, the Evangelical Theological Society, and the Evangelical Homiletics Society, in whose journal I have been published.
I reside in North Carolina with my wife and three children. We are active at All Saints Anglican Church in Durham.
